Used Kia Picanto - any experience with them?

I'm carless at the moment and don't need one desperately as I live in London.
BUT it is nice to have one for the occasional trip to the DIY superstore and also to visit family and friends all over the country.
Someone I know is getting rid of their 2YO Kia Picanto (now driving a sporty BMW offered by an in-law at an unmissable price) and has offered it to me. It only has 8K on the clock as it was used mainly for London-Glasgow trips to see the family.
I've been checking out the reviews and the road tests but the more feedback the better.
Especially from anyone in a fluorescent jacket who's had to attend one in an emergency!:) ;)

Thanks for the reply, Sussex. But what about it having no spare wheel? Someone posted about having a car (different make) with no spare wheel and having an accident that couldn't be solved by self-sealing puncture etc.
They said the patrol that attended refused to help and it turned out not to be covered in the RAC T&C?

You can purchase a spare wheel kit from the main dealer as a spare was an optional extra at the time of purchase and that is what I will be doing.Whilst you are right that in the terms and conditions it says you must carry a seviceable spare if you vehicle is not equipped with one then you can't and there are a few different vehicles that don't ( I have been to a few).

Thanks again Sussex. The RAC confirmed their T&Cs only cover punctures on these vehicles at the mo, tho they realise they have to review it.
Anyway, have opted to buy it in a private sale and the owner is going to supply it fitted with a nice new spare wheel tucked in the tyre well.
Thanks for the positive review of the car you have.
