So I come to the site, log on as normal but do not click 'remember me' and go through the forum. I post a long answer and click the reply tab. The screen tells me to log on as this is my first time or something equally hopeless. So I log on AGAIN and my answer has disappeared. Refreshing the page, going back or forward makes no difference. So a good 10 minutes wasted and all for nothing.

Hometune, I have had the same thing happen so now, if I think a long post is required I write in my word processor or windows note, then copy that and paste into the forum. It sounds complicated but it's OK once you get used to it.

Yes that's what Mrs H tells me to do every time now.

Hi Hometune, I have another, 'escape' from the logged out problem.

If you write a long reply, and on submission you get the log in screen, use the, 'Back' button on your browser to get back to your post, highlight and copy your post, log in again, select reply to the item you were replying to, and past your reply in, job done.

I have noticed, sometimes at the time out screen, if you log in it will have accepted the long post?
