    Hi

Firstly if you are driving around with no MOT this will invalidate your insurance as the vehicle is deemed not to be roadworthy. So my advice to you is stop using the vehicle as you are commiting an offence.Get the vehicle booked in to a test centre as long as it is booked in you are allowed to take it to a test station by appointment.
Just to note now the mot is computerised the police can check at roadside to see if it is taxed/insured/and has a current mot.

All MOT's since September 2005 have been produced electronically and the details stored.

The police can access this through their APNR setups, or via a PNC check.

There is currently some issues regarding APNR as this may be deemed as covert surveillance and a breach of the data protection act.

I am a bit late getting my MOT this year! Only by 2 days though!! This is due to the fact I forgot, not good I know, but I have now booked it in for MOT on monday.

I forgot about my MOT one year. I booked it in ASAP and not only didn't drive it but was so worried I even put it on a relative's off-street parking. Hope the car passes on Monday - and that the wheels-free weekend will remind you not to let it lapse again!;)
