I was lucky enought to buy myself a new car in September. When it was parked in the dealer's yard prior to valeting it had white (marker pen?) writing on the windows stating saving over Ford price.

When delivered car had been valeted but every time there is light rain or dew on the car the outline of all the writing reappears. I think this is because the water tends to bead slightly everywhere else (wax?) but not where the marker pen was. I have tried petrol, vinegar, and good old soap and water to remove it but to no avail.

I can't beleive I am the only person to have encountered this so what is the solution? Thanks for any help.

Try metholayted spirits - try not to get any on the rubber.

I've also found Autoglym polish to work surprisingly well, quite hard work to polish off but got absolutely everythign off of mine. To be doubly sure, I reccomend using the intensive tar remover before polishing.

You'd have to wash the screen after with your washer jets just to remove the streaking caused when the wipers go.
