For the first time in 11 years, the car has stalled twice in 3 weeks when I've changed from park to drive in order to pull off, after starting the engine.
Any idea whats going on, or what needs to be looked at?
Sounds like the engine doesn't like being under sudden load at various times. Does this happen when engine cold or after it's warmed up? Inhibitor switch is only to prevent starter motor operating when selector is in 'Drive'.
Could be a flat spot, air leak, any number of things. Tick over over too low perhaps? These faults can be a pain. More difficult to narrow down than standard non starts I'm afraid. :)
