Volvo 440

 Please can someone help:confused: I have a Volvo 440 and for the past 3 months I have had nothing but trouble with it and my nearest Volvo specialist cannot rectify the fault:confused: The car plays up once the engine gets warm, it fluctuates on the revs, my accelerator moves without me touching it and the engine dies. When I drive along if loses power and my foot can be completely on the floor on the accelerator and it doesn't go anywhere then all of a sudden it will pick up again. At junctions, traffic lights and roundabouts it stalls, but starts up straight away then the engine starts to die again:mad: Please help, I am at the end of my tether

Hi sounds like an air leak probably on the inlet manifold gasket, tip: start the car let it idle the best you can, then spray either carb cleaner or similar around the inlet gasket area if the idle speed alters then you certainly have an air leak on the manifold area replace gasket should sort you out.
