Im working and living in the ROI at the moment and have bought an irish registered car. If i take it over to england in June next year, i want to drive it for maybe 6-12 months before maybe scrapping it or if i can, selling it (it's very old and rubbish!). Of course i will insure it in england but will I have to register it in englnad for this time, will i be paying road tax?

Irish Plated Car

Some time ago when I returned to the UK from Germany, you had up to 6 months to drive in England before the car had to be registered with English Plates. perhaps this is still the case:confused:

I also think that the limit is 6 months, but I’m not 100 percent sure. :)
