Nearly had a serious accident today because of my tyres please check yours

Hi all, bit shaken up if I'm honest. Was driving on the dual carriageway this morning, nothing unusual, when my car started pulling badly to one side. Pulled over and one of my tyres was dangerously low almost flat. No warning, no obvious signs beforehand. Got me thinking how many of us actually check our tyres regularly vs just assuming they're fine? I'll be honest I hadn't checked mine in weeks. Could have been really nasty at that speed. Is there a routine you guys follow for checking tyre condition and pressure? And how often is realistic for everyday drivers? Would hate for someone else to go through this

I look at my tyres as I approach the car.
Once a month, they get a pressure test, and inspection.
As part of preparation for an unusually long, or fast, or loaded journey, tyre pressure will get checked and adjusted for loading where appropriate.
If the loading required higher pressures don't forget to reset when the journey is done. -
I check pressures roughly every 2 wks, depending on planned journeys. Damage and wear are checked at the same time.

In person - not often enough
I do switch to the onboard monitor whenever I hit a pothole, which at the moment is every five minutes -
Me too. Like most (all?) cars built in the last ten years or so, I also have an indicator on the dash. A few weeks ago, mine developed a fault and said I had a problem even though all tyres were at the correct pressure. Brake pads and discs were flagged as nearing the end of their life on my last MOT, so I had all four replaced, along with the sensors.
