I regularly go out quite late to hit the ATMs and give my car a run to keep the battery topped up. Last night I decided to go earlier, around 9.00pm. Two things surprised me: Firstly how empty the roads were of traffic. Secondly, how empty the roads were of parked cars, where most of the cars which are usually parked on the road were now on the drives/front gardens. I understand the lack of traffic, but if a bit of rain and cold weather is the reason for off-road parking, why can't they do this all the time?
