What is going on with the weather here in the UK right now? I feel like I've heard recently how it's almost unprecedented how much rain we've had so far this year!

It feels to be almost constantly raining at the minute doesn't it? With seemingly no end in sight! I have a son called Noah - I'm wondering if he's got some hidden plans for an Ark somewhere in his room!

How are you coping? I quite enjoy going for a run in the rain, but just the light kind, not this recent torrential stuff! Maybe you're hunkered down with a cuppa and a book or a board game? Or spending time in your workshop, tinkering? TV shows?

Let me know how you're doing... I'm hoping someone, somewhere is doing a good job of catching it all so we don't need a hosepipe ban again this year!

Until about a week ago I was in shorts and T shirt as it was about 75F (24C); then we had a foot of snow, now the forecast for next Tuesday is 80F (27C) and no sign of the rain we desperately need.

Personally, I revel in it. I live in an area where it seems some of the residents compete as to who owns the noisiest power tools. Electric drills, grinders and saws, year after year any time the sun shines. I have to question why some of them bought the houses if they need so much alteration or repair?
So, me? I prefer the noise of the rain.

I love going out in the rain! I've always said I prefer to do errands when I only have to contend with a bit of water as that seems to replace the crowds of people... and the ones left tend to have the same mindset so less likely for conflict. If anything people get angrier on a nice sunny day 😣

I think it was the summer of 84 when the German Police vehicles around Berlin were issued with fridges. When attending scenes of road rage, antagonists were given an ice cream rather than a Summons. I think you will find that generally people's intolerance and tempers rise with the temperature.

@Rolebama this is an extremely valid point, it does get very noisy around my house too. However, and as much as a I like a bit of rain, I am 100% a sunshine person. I wither in winter.

Here's crazy
Yesterday morning it was 29F (-1.7C) and 86F (30C) in the afternoon. 🤔
And today it's going to be 88F (31C) with 50 mph winds.
But on the bright side our battery banks are fully charged by 10am. 😍

Sounds like a theme for a musical - Lily emerges from a dark corner of the Arc, the Sun rises to it's zenith, Lilies costume magically changes from sweaters and rain coats to some appropriate sun attire, flowers appear all around, and a lamb enters left. (as they say)

I’m not saying it’s been wet and that we’ve had a lot of rain but this morning I found two pigeons having a bath on the roof of one of the cars ! And no I’m not joking.
