Hi all
My old Focus started acting up and the garage reckoned it might be engine related. Tried looking up the exact engine details using my reg but kept getting nowhere. Haynes manual too vague and forums all over the place.
Finally stumbled on a site that actually gave clear accurate info just from the number plate. Felt like a weight off!
Anyone else had this struggle or know good ways to check engine specs without the guesswork?

Never has a problem, and you only need to open the door on most modern cars and read the door tag. Older ones the 8th digit of the VIN will identify the engine.
