I bought a 2nd hand car from a local independent dealer a few weeks ago and also paid for the platinum warranty cover.
On the way home from picking up the car i noticed the infotainment system wasn't working properly. I've reported it to the dealer but was advised to put a clam through the warranty. RAC have rejected the claim as they havd said the fault was there when i purchased the car so i'm now trying to get the dealer to accept fixing the issue. Its nothing major but there is a fault causing it not to work properly so i need it fixing.
Does anyone know if the warranty only covers repairs that develop within the six months but anything that is deemed to be wrong with the car at the time of purchase needs to be rectified by the dealer? I've tried looking for confirmation in my paperwork but nothing seems to confirm this?
Thanks for any help
