Hi I have a ford focus 2012. And when I try to start car push button the battery is dead so I have to get a jump start sometimes might work sometimes not. Someone said could be electrics damp, or is it the battery. Please help anyone any ideas. So we can get fixed.
Thanks -

Looks as though the battery needs replacing, if when you have it running the charging light stays on check the alternator. Some accessory shops can test the battery and the alternator for you, otherwise a garage or Halfords, that is if you buy the battery from them.

Hi thanks for replying. But we think it's something in the electrics that's draining the battery when we turn engine off.
But thanks for replying 😀 -
You could try measuring battery drain with car off.
Make a note of radio code - it could be lost while testing.
Remove Positive battery connector, and insert an ammeter (or Multimeter on Amps range) between battery and connector to measure drain.
A Focus should show about 50mA (0.05A) - this is with car given time for all systems to have closed down (1 - 2 mins.) If this test fails, the next step would be a diagnostics because your probably looking for a failed body module.
