I have just received one, but the No. field at the top is blank. Does anyone have one from Paypoint that was filled in? What I need to know is what the number in that field matches on the receipt.

My receipt has a number on it that is marked SN. Is this the number that matches what is written in your No. field?

I am travelling next week and need this cleared up before I travel, but Paypoint and the DVLA/MOT haven't been able to help!

In the light of what you have already tried, I think when I travelled I would have both the permit and the receipt with me.
If stopped I would present both permit and receipt, and if asked I would explain why I presented both.
