I dont understand when rac worker comes out and can fix your car he gets the parts u pay for them well I got a price for my drive belt 25 pound but rac said 140 pound how does that work

The difference is called profit. 😉

To be serious;
Your £25 is unfitted whereas £140 is fitted, which I think is near what it would cost if done in a garage.

Perhaps the moral is, don't drive it until it stops, have it serviced at the manufacturers intervals.
