I'm interested to hear your thoughts and opinions on renewing breakdown cover with RAC vs going to a different company.

What offers have you had for renewing, or what would you expect to see to reward loyalty?

Is their retention offering good compared to other companies' like AA or Green Flag?

I'm happy to say despite being a regular forum member: I get RAC membership with my car package but if I had to arrange breakdown cover myself I'd go with alternating companies each year, much like with insurance, as you are spot on about new customers getting better deals

Some industries have regulations that say existing customers cannot be charged more than new customers for the same product via the same channel... Home and Car insurance are the obvious examples.

In the majority of industries there are no such regulations and it's perfectly legal to charge your existing customers more than your new customers.
