Abandoned in France by RAC European Assistance (Opteven) because we asked a local Fiat dealership to tell us what a warning light on the dashboard meant before calling them to report as a breakdown! The Fiat garage kindly explained what the codes meant BUT DIDN'T DO ANY WORK on the vehicle.
Despite this RAC European Assistance (Opteven) decided to withdraw our repatriation coverleaving us abandoned.
Absolutely criminal behaviour from RAC European Assistance (Opteven).
I am not sure I understand your post. It reads that a warning light came on, you maybe drove to a Fiat dealership, where they read the codes. Was the car driveable?
