I was recently rear ended the car was repaired (boot)
but when I took it for it’s mot ,day after the car was returned from repair it failed as the front drivers seat won’t move back or forward I phoned the insurance company back who spoke to the garage and they said it wouldn’t of been because of the accident and it’s wear and tear I have notice that the seat is not straight on the runners one side is further down than the other side does anyone know if this could have happened because of the accident I’m

I am aware that in the event of a rear-end, some cars are more prone to floor pan distortion. I would have it checked out.

In theory, the seat belt should have (by holding you) taken the strain of the crash off the seat.
The difference between damage due to wear, and tear, and crash damage should be easy to see.

You could see if a different body shop would give you an opinion but what ever the outcome the seat needs fixing at once as it is part of the cars safety system.
