Hyundai Ix35 CRDI 1.7 Diesel - Vibration when acccelarating

<br>Hi all, I am new to this forum!

I recently bought a used 2011 Hyundai IX35, CRDI 1.7 Diesel which has done just over 110,000 miles. I have a couple of issues, one which is diagnosed, but the other I am hoping someone here can help me with.

The first issue is that the clutch seems to be wearing out. It is quite difficult at times to get in to 1st gear, and the issue seems intermittent. Took it to my local mechanic and to Halfords as well, and both concluded that the clutch needs replacing, possibly along with the dual mass flywheel. The reason I have mentioned this is, perhaps if this has something to do with the latter issue?

The second issue is what concerns me. There seems to a vibration and a noise when accelerating, especially at low revs. I can only describe the noise like a mild boom followed by a noise similar to that of a spray. Imagine the noise an airbus aeroplane makes when taking off - something similar to that, but for a very short duration like a second or two at most Once you pick up speed, it goes away. It only happens when in gear and when in motion. I tried revving it up to about 3000-4000 rpm in neutral, but there was no vibration nor said noise. There is absolutely no rattling or knocking sound at all either.

One of the mechanics thinks it could be something minor, like a loose cable or something to do with the pipes. He was certain that it wasn't the turbo as it's not happening when revving up in neutral.

Is there anyone who can possibly hypothesise what the issue might be based on my description and your experience?

    Thank you!

It 'could' be an engine mount showing signs of wear. Worth checking them out.

I agree with Rolebama, sounds like an engine mount.
Open the bonnet and have someone watch the engine. Put it in first, handbrake on, and SLOWLY engage the clutch.
If the engine tries to climb out of the engine bay; motor mount is bad.
Yes I know it's a BMW but the principal is the same.
