It seems you see less and less Cat's eyes set into roads these days. Is anyone aware of roads in and around Glasgow or the central belt? Thanks in advance.
I'm not so sure @miz456 - I think as a concept they are still there, advancements in technology likely mean that some are now being removed and replaced with newer versions with LED strips and similar.

LEDs require a power source, so that would make them impractical.
A little known fact.
Cats eyes were patented by a Yorkshire man in 1934 and the patent was later updated to include a rubber strip across the lens which would clean the lens when a car ran over the cats eye.
