Why does my app only cater for ice vehicles in respect of providing information on fuel prices and where to go. This information is useless to me with an ev. I would like to see inclusion for ev users. I also notice that a discount was available at the time of writing for buying petrol or diesel from shell but no discount on using public chargers which shell also provide. Come on RAC you need to be more progressive.

Hi @Geburael , welcome to the RAC Community, and thanks for making your first post, it's great to hear from you. You raise a fair point - one that I will make sure is fedback to the team. My assumption is that you're talking about the MyRAC app as an existing RAC member?

Hi @Geburael , I just wanted to follow up here and let know that this feedback has been passed to our app team - my understanding i that there are definitely projects underway to deliver this, however the nature of public charging stations is slightly different to petrol etc, so proving more difficult and might take some time.

There is an initiative within the RAC called Charge Watch, that monitors the average cost of charging EVs on a pay as you go basis at public rapid or ultra-rapid chargers.

I would suspect, just like the general public the RAC is reluctant to accept that the motoring world is changing, after all it will eventually make a major change to the reliability of vehicles.
