Roundabout exit signage
-
I often see "Keep Left" signage at each exit of a roundabout when the incoming traffic is separated by a reservation (often a rounded triangle). At other times a 'blank - pass either side' bollard is used. Is the Keep Left incorrect as on approaching it is instructing me to leave the roundabout at the exit.

Hi @JohnLW , thanks for making your first post here, it's great to hear from you.
I've always thought these sort of things were intended to just make sure drivers didn't go down the opposite carriageway, making it perfectly clear where you were heading out of the exit. I could certainly be wrong though. they have them on the bollards often as well I seem to think, at the top. Again I could be wrong.
Does anyone else have any other thoughts or knowledge about these signs?
