Having broken down in private store carpark, I received a penalty for overstaying permitted free parking period while awaiting RAC patrol assistance. How do I get confirmation that I did get help?

I asked our team about this and they suggested a couple of options that may help:

1. If you had a callout you should receive your breakdown report via email or, if you are a direct member, you can also view this in your myRAC app - this will show the detils and the time stamps of the breakdown that may help with your parking fine appeal.
2. Alternatively, you could reach out to the team vi one of our social media channels, either on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter - there one of the team will be able to confirm your details and send out a report as proof of breakdown.

From their view point, that was an occupied parking space, I hope I am wrong
