Driving without car insurance

I was pulled over by PO. Because my reg was not reflected as insured. So basically I had insurance but since I put private reg, was not updated with the insurance. That was genuine mistakes from my side
I explained to the officer also show him confirmation email with with details including previous REG. but officer did not except. Eventually he said he does not have much time. So he said to me that he will investigate and reply back accordingly.
so next day I called my insurance company and updated my new REG. while I was I doing that I mentioned about that incident and they assured me that I was insured as Iโ€™m only changing REG but the car is the same.
and I request them to provide me in writing.
they sent me an email says car registration was change form original to private. But policy as well as the starting date remains same.
after few days I received conditional offer letter with 300 fixed penalty and 6 points.
I called my insurance company again to provide me sufficient letter to prove that I was insured when I was stopped. They ask me to provide that letter which I emailed them.
after that I was told they will provide me indemnity letter to prove that I was insured that time I was stopped.
once I received indemnity letter I submitted all documents to police station including both insurance policy, V5C. As well email. Also sent email to AOJ team.
but itโ€™s been 15 days now and still I have not had any updates. I emailed them also called but no response.
I am concerned about approaching dead line.

could any one suggest what shall I do..!!

    Thank you

Keep calling them until they pick up.

Worst case scenario, the CPS will issue a summons to attend court.

If that happens, don't worry because you have the documentary evidence to prove that you were covered, and you can tell the Magistrates that you made every effort to resolve the matter before it got to this stage (keep records or a diary of every attempt you make), you were getting no joy from the Police or CPS, and therefore you wish to make a claim for costs against the Police as you have been inconvenienced through no fault of your own.

Do you have any legal cover on any of your policies such as car insurance, house/contents insurance, breakdown recovery? If so, it may be worth exploring if you can get proper legal representation to take things over for you?

I have all risk cover on my contents cover which allows me access to legal representation on any matter if needed as well as legal cover on my car policy. Might be worth a try, but either way, keep trying to make contact, keep a record and see what develops.

You have a good case and a defence in law.

    Thank you for your advice.

I have just spoken to one of the officers. She informed me that the officer handling my case is currently on sick leave. I explained that I had already submitted all the relevant documents, including the indemnity letter. I also expressed my concern about the time constraints.

The officer requested that I email her the indemnity letter again so that she could speak to her supervisor. I complied, and she called me back to confirm that she has suspended the matter until the assigned officer can review my case.
