It is the risk every copper takes every time they go to work and it is a risk that is accepted.
I have lost several colleagues through work, and I was left permanently disabled because of the job, but it is part and parcel of being a copper.
It is sad, but she knew the risks and accepted those risks, and we will not know the full circumstances until either the inquest takes place or the court hearing (which if its a guilty plea means we will definitely not get the full story)
