How do you track someone's mobile phone? Do you use any kind of app for this? Basically, I want to track my family members by using a single app where I will have my own dashboard.
Thank you! -

I can, but rarely do, track one family member using the “find my” on my iPhone
Are you talking about family with conditions like dementia? It might be cheaper getting one of those tag things instead of using their phone
All this of course assumes consent! I’m too aware of the awkwardness when it comes to kids who are legally adults but act, and needs safeguarding, like teenagers… -
There is software (apps) available to do this on Android phones, I would expect the app has to be on both phones.
As far as I know, both phones have to be turned on, it's preloaded on iPhones.
Remembering my kids as teenagers, they would have simply turned their phone off if they wanted to go where their parents did not approve!
The police are making more use of mobile phone technology to trace phones, not find lost phones, (please Mr. policeman I have lost my phone!) it has to be justifiable. Presumably it is expensive, they are given (sold ?) data from the mobile phone computers. -
Thanks for sharing your reply here. As far as I know, this type of apps not only available for Android but also for iOS and other devices.

Hello,
Tracking someone's mobile phone should always be done with their knowledge and consent, especially when it comes to family members. Privacy and trust are key factors when monitoring anyone's location or activity. Life360 is a well-known family tracking app that allows you to create a private circle of family members. It provides location tracking, driving reports, and emergency alerts. All members need to install the app and give permission for sharing their location.
Best Regard,
