Just heard a 'news' item that Home Alone has just been voted No 1 Xmas film. It is not mine. Mine is Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas, and the wife's is Alistair Sim's Scrooge. What's yours?

Plenty old favourites but must admit, I enjoyed Netflix's The Christmas Chronicles.

Also, interesting tidbit, Maculey Caulkin from Home Alone changed his middle name a couple of years ago to Macaulay Caulkin. So his full name is now Macaulay Macaulay Caulkin Caulkin

Great question... there's too many to choose from. Christmas movies are often as much about nostalgia as anything else. I love Home Alone, but other favourites include;

• Elf
• Santa Claus the Movie (Dudley Moore and John Lithgow)
• Polar express

Also, is Die Hard considered a Christmas movie?

Mark07, it was a toss-up between Nightmare Before Christmas and Die Hard for me. I think it most definitely a Christmas movie.
