Air bags deplyed when I hit a kerb, or pot hole and a tyre burst. . This meant that I could not restart the car, and I broke the key trying. An RAC patrol man did something under the bonnet so that I would be able to drive home, when my husband arrived with a spare key.

The car has been parked on the road at home since, and we now need to move it, but once more it will not start due to the air bags. The battery went flat and had to be charged. Does anyone know how to deal with this, or where I could get advice? I was unable to find an email address for RAC.
The car is a 3 litre 407 Coupe, 2006 reg

We tried asking Peugeot and it is like talking to a brick wall. A bit like trying to deal with the RAC.

Do you have RAC home cover, if so call them.

You say the battery was flat, the car may think it was removed you could try this:

Some cars have a device usually in the engine compartment that cuts of electricity in the event of a crash, this may have been what the RAC man reset, many have a red flexible top to push to reset but I don't know your car so I cannot tell you more.

Failing that you will have to call a garage to sort it out.

The only way I ever reset the airbag module was to use a scan tool, never from under the bonnet, so no idea what he did to get it to start.
Might be time to get a garage involved.

I would recommend not driving the car until it has been competently repaired and checked out. Some airbag detonation is known to damage wiring harnesses, and can compromise safe driving.

The OP said the RAC man got it started. I took that to mean that the car could be started, and by inference, then driven.
