RAC Email Problems

I'm having major problems contacting the RAC, none of their emails seem to work, I always get a "could not be delivered" bounce back.. from EVERY email address I try.. its almost like they dont want any business?! the only way I can contact them is through the web form.. which is getting tedious.. Has anyone else had or is having this problem? This forum is my last resort before I give up and go elsewhere...

I'm not aware of any other reports similar to this. To help me point you in the right direction, what is the nature of your enquiry e.g. RAC membership, to report a breakdown, a tech issue with our app etc.

I phoned RAC yesterday on 0330 159 1111. Menu system wasn't too bad. Waited about 5 mins to talk to somebody. I got my issue sorted, so thought it might work for you.

Funnily enough, I am experiencing exactly the same problem. I wanted to email the RAC Breakdown Customer Service Team with a rather long-winded query regarding a rescue/ fault report that I can no longer access in any other way. I have used no less than three different “customer care” email addresses, not once but several times, and - guess what - it bounced every single time! I got the same error message that you got. In the end I have resorted to write to their office in Bristol. I hope I get a reply soon as my request is rather pressing. -

I may have solved the problem of the email malfunction. And all thanks to Mark07 who has been a great help.
The error message I got, when trying to email the RAC, contained the phrase “550 Administrative prohibition - envelope blocked”.
Did you get such a message? If so, then Google the phrase “550 Administrative prohibition” and you will see the reason for the error.
It then dawned on me that I might have used a certain (old) email address of mine for registering my contact details with the RAC but I was then using a different email account of mine for trying to contact the RAC. And of course that did not work. So, after conversing with Mark07, I then sent my message to RAC Customer Care using my original email account. And guess what? It reached the destination with no problem whatsoever!
