Help needed on start issues for Vectra 1.9CDTI

Hi all, can you help? Vectra 1.9 CDTI 07. Ran fine one day, come to start in the morning ran rough, doesn't want to start, tries to fire up then dies at each turn of the key. However after much cranking, and if it starts before battery dies, it runs, drives and idles perfect, but even when warmed up, turn the ignition off, try to start and have the same start issues. No engine codes.

In tank pump and high pressure pumps changed, egr valve's ok, new bleed off pipes, new fuel filter, no signs of leaks or cracks in filter housing, starter turns engine over fine, I'm at a loss at what can be causing this, once started runs perfect, but switch it off and same start-up issues that will leave me stranded. Any suggestions appreciated

    The symptoms suggest:
    Glow plugs
    Injectors
    Loss of compression

Glow plugs check for continuity, Injectors are best tested by a diesel specialist, Compression test with compression testing gauge.

A diesel specialist, is probably the best option.

    Hello,
It sounds like you've covered a lot of potential issues already! Since the problem persists, it might be worth checking for a tiny air leak in the fuel system, such as a cracked leak-off pipe or a pinhole in a pipe. Sometimes, even a poorly seated or incorrect o-ring at the filter can cause this issue.
