I am nearly 80, stranded on M5 and bloody RAC not manning phonecalls !
I've had to pull onto hardshoulder, had wing mirror knocked off, tried to climb over an overgrown barrier and trying to navigate texting. I am SO upset.
I shall have to find another service who will guarantee manning a phone...its started to rain now too!!
Why are they cutting corners like this?? The engineers are lovely but phone contact appalling!!!

Thank you. Yes, the tyre blew out causing us to stop.
Engineer was helpful, changed onto spare wheel and called ahead to garage who fitted a new tyre.
He acknowledged the difficulty dealing with head office. It's difficult for them too I believe. He suggested emailing customer service to lodge complaint about the texting debacle. It was not straightforward when in shock and very slow.
Getting over the safety barrier is another issue but not of RAC's making!!!
