Insurance issue - uninsured driver

    Hello all..
really hoping someone can help with some advise...
My Aunt hit a vehicle from the back... she is fully insured, the tp car which was hit is also insured, but the driver of the tp car at the time was not...

Is it safe to say since it is a fault regardless of if they are insured or not, can they claim against my aunt and what can we do about it if they do..

When a vehicle runs into the rear of another, it is called strict liability.

If I read your account correctly, your Aunt ran into the rear of a vehicle in front and a third vehicle was involved?

The insured driver can make a claim against your Aunt as can the uninsured driver (more common in personal injury cases) but of course the uninsured driver runs the risk of being prosecuted for no insurance as the insurers follow their protocols.

Your Aunts insurance company will explain it all to her.
