So today I had accidentally went over the white line on a red light but I immediately stopped after realising my mistake, I reversed a little so I could see the lights, there was a white camera on the top of the lights (like a CCTV camera). Will I be okay or not?

Hello,

Best Answer@ZainRobertshat is not a red light camera.
Those are installed several metres before the stop line, so that they can capture both your car and the lights themselves. -
You will be fine.
As already stated, red light cameras are set back from the junction so the whole junction can be seen, but in any case, 99% will only activate when the whole vehicle has crossed over the line and cleared the junction.
The fact that you stopped albeit you were over the line and therefore you technically commit the offence (front wheels have to be behind the lime), you stopped and reversed back so unlike many, it was not a blatant attempt to jump a red light. Even if a copper had seen you, they would not have worried about what you did.
Just for your future reference, a traffic light camera looks like a smaller version of a GATSO camera and will be either clearly painted yellow or be grey, but many do confuse ATS cameras with speed cameras.
