Best AnswerHi PeeWee,
Welcome to the Community.
Other members will have more experience than me, but during the service they'd inspect the car. If they've identified something that needs fixing, you'll need to pay for that to be done.
If you didn't pay any additional costs beyond the service, I doubt they've replaced anything.
According to a quick google search, cambelts should be replaced every 4-6 years or every 40K - 100K miles. -
As far as I can see Cintron say 100,000 or 170,000 Kilometres depending on which model of C3 you have.
If you don't have the hand book or service book you can find out on the internet. -
Hi - I had a similar problem with a Citroen Spacetourer bought from Cargiant. 2019 reg, 50k. 6 months after buying I had it serviced and the garage stuck bad quality oil in. 2 days later the engine light came on. Took back to same garage (independent one) and they said cambelt was deteriorating and needed replacing at nearly 1k cost! I did some research and discovered this is really common in the 1.2 purerech engine and a known fault as they use a wet belt. Citroen will cover the replacement under warranty if you can find a dealer. I took it to a Citroen dealer and had it all replaced for free so worth looking into as long as the car is under 5 years old and under 55k I believe.
