I'm having some issues with a radio I installed in my car. The cars a 2000 1.6 golf mk3.5 cabriolet and the radio is a Sony DSX-A510BD.
Originally it was fine and working normally except it kept forgetting the time or the settings. I read online that you need to swap the red and yellow cables over for certain countries for the memory to work.
I did this However now the radio only works intermittently, sometimes it will turn on when I turn the ignition on and other times it won't turn on at all.
All the fuses are fine and the wires in the wiring harness seem ok. I have even tried swapping the cables back to their original position, red to red and yellow to yellow, but I'm getting the same issue. Putting the original tape player radio back in works fine too so there doesn't seem to be any issue with power at all.
