7.5 hours waiting time to call out!
-
I’ve broken down in Aberdeenshire and require recovery to the western isles. I’ve been given a 7.5 hours call out time which doesn’t bode well for me getting home any time soon. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Scotia78
Really sorry to hear of this.
As community manager I don't have access to customer accounts. Neither do other community forum members of course.
Here is a link to the RAC contact page which has all the different teams' contact details.

Now 10.5 hours now with no prospect of getting home tonight. Also was offered free onward travel by email on the 05th of September but was a dead link. When I pointed this out to RAC help desk they told be I should have clicked the link! Arghh so frustrating. Anyway 10.5 hours at the side of the road. They say they can’t get me home so I’ve asked them just to get me to the ferry port and I’ll pay to have it towed home but even this seems like too much hassle…we will see.

So latest update is RAC will recover car at 1400hrs but can only take me to Dundee then it’s link up recovery in stages all the way to ferry port only. No onward travel or hotel offered. I’ll update this thread as it progresses.
