A Joke, Surely?

Having received short shrift from Customer Services, I made a little video in the hope that it would help RAC to train their operatives (and made it 'Private' for their exclusive viewing). As I've not heard back from them, today, I've made it available to the 'Public' . Enjoy : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-0wwIygkY0

Hi @Petronius
Welcome to the community and thanks for posting!
As community manager I don't have access to customer accounts. Neither do other community forum members of course.
I did watch your video which I thought was nicely done. But I'm sorry to hear of your experience.
Here is a link to the RAC complaints page on the website. You'll see there's a section about what to do if you're unhappy with the response, which is to refer it to the Financial Ombudsman.
The contact details are: Financial Ombudsman Service, Exchange Tower, London, E14 9SR
Telephone: 0300 123 9123
Email: [email protected]
I hope this helps 👍Welcome to the RAC Community! Start here 😀
You can say hi and introduce yourself too 👋
What should you do after a collision? 🤔

FWIW: Last time I called the AA, they sent a garage out. Car couldn't be fixed so he asked if he could take me home. (He had a demountable.) This was refused as it was 'too busy'. An AA demountable arrived later, and we loaded up and headed for the garage I now use. Arriving at the garage, which is in an Industrial Estate, access to the Estate was blocked by a chain and padlocked gate. It was agree that we, and the car, would be taken home and the car would be moved to the garage later in the day. Sure enough a couple of hours later, another AA demountable arrived and off we went.
Times: Initial contact with AA 11.30pm. Arrive home 05.30am. Car unloaded at garage 10.30am.
Distance to home 39miles. Takes about an hour to drive home, and about another 3 miles to garage.
I would point out that when the AA Operator called to tell us the truck to take us home was on it's way, she asked about being vulnerable. I told her of my illness and age. She told me we would be treated as a priority. -
A guy in a local garage was due to go on holiday, but he was the only one we could find to do the repair. He stayed until the job was done, otherwise we would have been without the car for a fortnight. Picked it up next day for the princely sum of £1200.
In the five years I've had it, it has cost around £2500 in the last year.
