I came across this, it is apparently in Iceland. My first thought was yes, I would definitely slow for this the first time I saw it - but after that? Similar to how the 'Cameras Ahead' signs work here. Once it becomes apparent there are no cameras, how effective are they?

My thought was you may be right, then someone will end up actually placing some white breeze blocks in the road and watching people not slow down 😳

Probably as effective as those big signs that show the speed limit. The moment drivers realize the police are nowhere in sight, they get ignored.
