Foot in Mouth Disease

The Driving Myths thread Somehow brought this to mind:
When with the AA we would have District Meetings where we always had a 'guest' speaker. On this particular occasion he was a management guy about five or six tiers up from us lowly Patrols, and liked to let us know. His reason for attending was to berate us for the amount of speed camera infringements. I was not happy with being spoken to this way, so left the meeting.
When the meeting broke up and everyone was leaving, some of the Patrols saw him about half a mile up the road talking to the Police, one of whom had a speed camera in his hand.
Poetic justice, karma, call it what you will, but he hardly left his office for a long time after that.

Our local high school students put together a big presentation about the damage to the environment caused by climates change, big oil and gas etc.
We were asked to attend in case of trouble??
At the end of the presentation, which I admit I was very impressed with, the teacher turned to us and asked "Would you officers care to add anything?"
Of course I couldn't help myself and asked, "So how many of you will be taking the bus or walking to school tomorrow instead of driving your cars to school?"
Could have heard a penny drop until a single voice piped up, "But I need my car"
"Then you're all stuffed" said I.

    Hello,
That sounds like quite a memorable experience! It’s always interesting when situations like that unfold. It must have felt satisfying to see a bit of poetic justice in action, especially after being spoken to in such a condescending manner.
    Best Regards
