[Expyre]

Hi all,
my Astra j Sri 1.6 2010, makes a quiet beeping sound whenever I press on the accelerator. This happens after a few minutes into the drive. The beep is continuous until I let go off the accelerator and the beep isn’t the same as the horn or a warning chime. It is an electronic sound though.
Any ideas of what it could be? I tried searching online but no luck.

I've never heard of this before.

After a bit of googling, one possibility could be a feature to prevent speeding. Based on your experience is that possible?

thank you for your reply.
unfortunately it’s not that. I initially thought it was a rev warning but it would also beep at 2000 rev and less. Some say it might be a battery issue or throttle sensor issue. Think it’s a case of just going to a garage with this one.

I wonder if it is worth calling a Vauxhall garage in case the beep is specific to the make/model.

Once you get to the bottom of it, it’d be great if you could come back and let us know the outcome. I’m sure it’ll help someone else in the future. 👍
