My membership was due to auto-renew on Jun 1st, I rand the RAC on 11th May and asked to cancel the auto-renewal and payment of £196.99. On 4th of June I received an email saying 'congratulations your membership has auto renewed..' (or words to that effect) ! I rang and asked for a refund, a couple of days later RAC only refunded me £144.99 despite them saying it was their mistake and an 'admin' charge' would not be taken! I've raised a complaint but my question is how much chance do I stand of getting my money back seeing as I'm no longer a member?

If you can't get satisfaction from the RAC, take it up with your bank.

I have had this problem with other companies in the past and make sure to cancel the direct debit at my end as well.
