My car didn't start this morning, I'm told I need a new battery.

• does it really matter which one i get?
• I'm leaning towards the lower cost and fitting it myself, what are the pro/con's?

YES it does matter that you buy the correct battery for the car. For example - If your car has start/stop technology (the engine switches off when you stop at traffic lights or junctions), then you'll need an AGM or EFB battery and it needs to be the correct one.

The car about 10 years old, I don't have start/stop tech.
