Waiting at traffic light and I did not pull straight out when turned green as was ensuring safety due to maintenance vehicle moving in front. A car from 3 behind overtook and we collided when I pulled out. Who is at fault?

Not as such, we were in a queue of traffic at lights on a small one lane road, the other driver decided to queue jump and over took other cars and myself to go through the lights in the oncoming lane. Sorry hope that is clearer.

So you were also moving into the oncoming lane when the collision occurred? Had you checked your mirrors and blindspot?

That seems to say that you only checked after you'd started to pull out?
