My car was stolen and I received a red light notice, does anyone know if they take pictures of the drivers face

No, red light cameras are positioned to capture the rear of the car together with the red light.

I believe that if you received notification you can ask for copies of photos.

@Beelzebub thank you for your reply, so there’s no way for me to see who was actually driving, I suspect who had stole my car and would love to confirm it

ATS cameras are rear facing only so as already stated it will only show the make, model of vehicle and the registration mark.

But look and see if there are any local authority or Highways CCTV cameras in close proximity. That might assist as they often work in tandem provided they are in use.
