Can anyone help me out please?

I'm looking to buy a new car, i was looking to at 1.6 diesel Honda civics but I'm seeing lots of 1.0 turbo petrol ones and wanting to know what people would advise to go for. I've done lots of reading up but still no clearer of which car to choose? I do a lot of driving social and with work, motorway and city driving. I was leaning towards diesel cause that was my last one and I loved it but is the 1ltr worth it?

does anyone have any pros/cons please?

@Mark07 hey I stuck with diesel, I had a 2.2 diesel civic years ago and it was amazing, I test drove a few different ones this time and decided to stick with 1.6 diesel and don’t regret it:)
