I recently purchased a vehicle from a garage, which broke down 12 days later from an electrical faulty (corroded solder joints). I have tried to reject the vehicle under the Consumers Rights Act, but the dealership is not having it, and I've had to issue court proceedings.

Plastered all over their website and car adverts is the fact that they are an "RAC Approved Dealership". However, on the RAC website, they are only listed as a warranty dealer. I have tried to contact the RAC via email, and their "RAC Approved Dealer Customer Relations" 0330 100 3247, but was told they weren't sure and couldn't help.

Obviously, it is really important to my case to determine if this dealership is misadvertising their products, but I don't know how to definitively find out their relationship with the RAC. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could achieve this? Thanks!

I don't see how their possibly misleading claim to be RAC approved is relevant to your rights under the CRA. Either it was faulty or it wasn't.

It does feel underhand to be advertising as 'RAC-approved' if it's not, as it gives consumers that false sense of security.
