Start of speeding ban
-
I'm expecting a 6-month ban for totting up 12 points but it hasn't been confirmed yet and a check of my licence on gov.uk does not record it. The letter about the court proceeding in my absence (I don't have a basis to challenge the ban) says I shouldn't drive after 17 Nov until the result is confirmed by the court. This makes the six-month ban much longer. But as it's not on my licence, can I still drive?

Best AnswerHi @Rosey31 Welcome and thanks for posting.
I'm not sure what the rule is, but if it was me I'd stick to what's said in the letter, that "I shouldn't drive after 17 Nov until the result is confirmed by the court.".
Just to be on the safe side.
