I broke down 3 weeks ago, rang the RAC they didn't turn up so got towed to a local garage after much stress the garage are now saying the car will cost a fortune to fix.
The garage said they'll tow car to my house (half mile) for £80. Doea anyone know, if i ring the RAC will they tow my car home?
i have tried ringing but can't get through.

I very much doubt it. They are primarily a "roadside" recovery service and extend that to homes at extra cost.

£80 seems a lot though, it would be worth asking around for a better price.

If you intend to park it off-road for some time while you repair it, you might consider SORN - but keep it insured.
