It boasts a 'stunning immersive experience' next to some flashing lights beneath a 'knitted' dashboard.

Definitely different!

I do like how you can choose from a range of different faces for the round digital screen.

Oh No! A "digital assistant..." 📎

It is innovative and relatively cheap at £30k. Anyone who does most of their driving on short journeys around town, especially one with a congestion charge, will probably consider it.

Know what you mean though. Haven't used Siri or Google Assistant in years....
I suppose all the new AI might improve them a bit quite soon though

Even relatively long journeys would be doable. I took home an electric Mini when mine was in for servicing and it had a range of around 90 miles - 30% less than claimed. Current one is claimed to be good for approx 250 so even if you knock off 30% that is very reasonable for a small car.

Not sure how I'd feel about having no information at all behind the steering wheel? This is despite having an older MINI with the speedo in the centre of the dashboard.

I wonder how they could make it £30k when the current one is £32.5k?

The main touch buttons on my digital third party gizmo are around 25mm square, with about 10mm between them. I still have to do a double-take when pressing them. They seemed quite tiny on the video, so not yet convinced. As to the voice control, they are brilliant if all passengers have a mute button, and the radio/cd player never makes a sound that it thinks of as a command.
