miles at 70mph. It seems to me that the extra 68miles or about 50% achieved by reducing the speed limit from 70mph to 50mph would make a significant
difference to both the need for charging and the energy consumed. This could be even more important with the electrification of heating. It is true that not all cars are driven at 70mph but many are driven at 80mph when the mileage is even worse.
